Farnworth Fund: Community Grants – Year 1 (2026–27)

Grants of up to £10,000 for groups supporting people in Farnworth

The Farnworth Fund: Community Grants Year 1 will support the provision of accessible community‑led activities that will help make Farnworth a more connected, confident and thriving place to live. The Fund offers grants of up to £10,000 for 12 months for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise groups and organisations.

Bolton CVS is managing this fund on behalf of the Focus on Farnworth Board, as part of the Pride in Place Programme.

What is the Farnworth Fund?

The Farnworth Fund offers revenue grants of up to £10,000 for community‑led projects delivered over 12 months.

It can support:

  • New ideas
  • Expanding existing work
  • Continuing activities that are already making a difference

Funded activity must take place in:

  • Farnworth North Ward, or
  • Farnworth South Ward,

and must be open to residents living in Farnworth.

The funded projects must meet at least one of the priorities below:

  1. Improving wellbeing and social connections.
  2. Improving access to services and support.
  3. Increasing skills, learning and employment readiness.
  4. Strengthening communities through stronger and more resilient neighbourhoods.

  • Understand what you can (and can’t) apply for.
  • Hear tips on putting together a strong application.
  • Find out about how Bolton CVS can support your organisation to ensure you are ‘funding ready’.
  • Ask questions about the Farnworth Fund

Whether you’re just exploring an idea or already drafting your application, you’re very welcome to join.
